Eivindsdotter

Eivindsdotter is a Swedish artist who creates art in epoxy resin. Her art is transformed into unique crafts through precision and patience, where each motif is produced only once.

Epoxy is widely used for flooring and sealing boats. When combined with hardeners, it creates a strong durable substance suitable for various industrial applications. While relatively new in the art world, where figurative motifs are still rare, epoxy is gaining popularity.

My art is created with epoxy, which is a liquid medium primarily used for flooring

Through various experiments, Eivindsdotter has developed her unique technique for creating epoxy motifs. These motifs are crafted using various dropper bottles and spatulas since brushes aren’t suitable for the material. Each layer of epoxy requires approximately 30 hours to cure, resulting in a distinctive expression that’s heavily influenced by temperature and consistency. If you’re seeking fresh and exciting art, this is it.

About

Eivindsdotter combines her career as an artist with academic studies. She’s affiliated with Uppsala University where she holds a five-year master’s degree in art history.

Her research explores how masculine norms have been constructed maintained and destabilised within Western visual art from the 17th century onwards.

Art is a multifaceted phenomenon, serving as a reflection of our innermost emotions and the world around us. By transcending languages and cultures, art becomes an invaluable asset in fostering unity and peace. Art is not just an expression of emotion but also a medium for communicating ideas. It can act as therapeutic relief, a conduit for self-expression, or simply a way to appreciate life’s beauty. Through art, we can chronicle history, embody societal values, and comment on political or social events.

I hope you will enjoy it.”

A piece for the King

Flamma Aurea, Latin for “the golden flame,” is a work created in celebration of His Majesty the King’s birthday. The piece will be presented to the Royalist Association during the Spring Ball, at the end of April in Stockholm. During the event it will be auctioned in support of the World Childhood Foundation, established by H.M. Queen Silvia.

As a devoted royalist and trained historian, Eivindsdotter regards participation in this project as both an honour and a deeply meaningful contribution. The work reflects not only a reverence for tradition and heritage, but also a commitment to causes that support the well-being and future of children.

Bistro Tartine Epoxy Art

Bistro Tartine, a charming French restaurant in Stockholm, currently showcases a selection of works by the artist Eivindsdotter. Her epoxy-based paintings are presented throughout the space, where art and atmosphere come together in a refined and intimate setting.

Working as a solo artist, Eivindsdotter brings a distinctive visual language to the venue—her luminous, layered compositions offering a striking contrast to the restaurant’s warm, Parisian-inspired interior. The exhibition invites guests to experience her work in a living environment, where contemporary art becomes part of the sensory experience of dining.
